Volunteers at Batsto are planning an 1890’s Victorian Christmas celebration set for December 15th. It’s free and they are encouraging visitors to bring their Holiday greeting cards and have them processed at the oldest operating post office in New Jersey.
Batsto Village was a bog iron and glassmaking center from 1766 to 1867. There are 33 historic structures including not only the post office, but a grist mill, saw mill and the mansion.
